Abstract

The case of a 59-year-old patient with diffuse large-cell B-cell lymphoma of the head of the pancreas, with mechanical jaundice simulating pseudocyst and carcinoma of the head of the pancreas is presented. The presented clinical case was successfully diagnosed non-surgically. Percutaneous puncture biopsy was performed followed by immunohistochemical examination of the drug, thus the diagnosis was verified and pseudocyst and pancreatic carcinoma were excluded. The patient underwent chemotherapy according to the CHOP protocol (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone) with rituximab, which she endured well, a partial response was achieved.

Keywords: diffuse large-cell B-cell lymphoma, pancreas, pancreatic carcinoma, pseudocyst of the pancreatic head, immunohistochemical examination.
