Abstract

Background: It presented a rare case report of successful surgical correction a blood clot in the right atrium. Thrombosis of the heart cavities in children -a rare and dangerous condition that requires urgent action. The presence of a blood clot in the cavity of the heart, which can cause not only hemodynamic disorders, but also a sudden cardiac arrest, is an indication for surgical treatment. The article presents a case of successful treatment in a child with steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome floating thrombus of the cavity of the right atrium, coming from the mouth of the inferior vena cava. The peculiarity of treatment was surgical removal of thrombus under extracorporeal circulation.
