Abstract

Modern minimally invasive methods of surgical treatment of patients with traumatic dacryocystitis, including concomitant pathology on the part of ENT organs, are demonstrated. The criteria for selecting patients for various surgical options are described.

The article describes the options for surgical treatment of patients with traumatic dacryocystitis in 3 groups of patients, depending on the anatomical features and the presence of concomitant pathology of the ENT organs. All variants of operations were accompanied by stenting of the lacrimal ducts for a period of 4 months.

The results of the study were analyzed for the restoration of active lacrimal drainage and the occurrence of relapses in the long-term postoperative period. Based on the study, conclusions are drawn about the feasibility of a differentiated approach in the selection of patients for a specific type of surgical treatment.

Keywords: traumatic dacryocystitis, recanalization of lacrimal ducts, transcanalytic laser dacryocystorhinostomy, endonasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy, pathology of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinus.
