Abstract

This article presents the methods of studying the quality of life of 478 patients with trigeminal neuralgia who are subject to surgical treatment by microvascular decompression of the nerve root with retro-sigmoid access. Evaluation of the quality of life of these patients was made in the pre- and postoperative periods, as well as in the follow-up using the MOS SF-36 questionnaires, the EuroQol-5D European Quality of Life Questionnaire and the McGill Pain Questionnaire brief pain questionnaire, which passed the standard validation procedure.

Keywords: neuralgia, trigeminal nerve, surgical treatment, quality of life.
