Abstract

Autologous transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells (autoHSCT) is a method of effective treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) that can slow the degree of disability in patients and improve their quality of life. Immunosuppressive therapy is often accompanied by the development of infectious complications, such as sepsis, so the careful infectious control is very importartant. The article presents a case of sepsis caused by a rare pathogen of Weissella confuse.

Keywords: multiple sclerosis, immunosuppressive therapy, autologous transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells, Weissella confusa, coccobacilli gram-positive pathogen, sepsis, resistance, vancomycin.
